BOESER INC: Delivering Top-Notch Ductwork and Supplies

Thousands of homes and offices in the Twin Cities have heating and cooling systems made possible by Boeser Inc., a company known for making custom ductwork.  In recent years, Boeser has built upon its strong reputation in ductwork by expanding into a full service HVAC wholesaler.  The supply side of business has expanded providing customers the convenience of one-stop shopping for HVAC products.   The owner, Larry Boeser, believes that high-quality products and a reputation for excellent service are what drive his company’s success.

Finding a Niche
Larry worked in the construction trade before launching Boeser in 1979.  Larry’s years of hands on experience helped the company recognize the demands of installing heating systems in both commercial and residential buildings.  Boeser Inc. provides contractors with ductwork and supplies that get the job done quickly and safely at a reasonable price.

Boeser Inc. can make just about anything out of sheetmetal.  “In addition to making commonly used pieces of ductwork, we make ductwork with special sizes and features for specific jobs,” Larry says.  “Other wholesalers don’t provide custom ductwork, which has been our niche in the business.”

Boeser Supply is known for its product and applications knowledge and helpful showroom.  Scott Boeser, Vice President, says, “We focus on a few top lines and have the ability to educate our customers on the latest innovations in the industry.”  Other wholesalers dilute themselves with every brand but provide little knowledge.  Scott says, “We invest in a showroom that provides operating demos and hands on exposure to new products.”

Keeping Cost Down
Larry says the best way to improve business is by continually updating equipment and purchasing new equipment.  “In the old days, we made many of our products by hand,” he says.  “Today, we have computerized machines called duct lines that make the duct work.  It’s important for us to keep up with equipment technology so we have the capability to make anything our customer’s request,” Larry continues. “The productivity of these new machines helps us offset the ever increasing metal costs.”

Treating People Right
Boeser Inc. has earned a reputation in the business for quality custom products with many loyal customers of 20 years or more.  The products and services offered by Boeser Inc., including direct delivery to job sites, save contractors time and money.  “We attract and retain customers by providing helpful ordering information and knowledgeable, fast service,” Larry says.

Employees are the strength of the business.  “We have a solid core of employees at our facility in Minneapolis, some of whom have been with us since 1982,” Larry says.  “We treat our employee’s right, and they do a great job keeping Boeser on the cutting edge.”
